Audition Overview
Arts Express Theatre is thrilled to announce the Season Auditions for its 2022-23 Season. This season includes 8 musical theatre productions with something for everyone, including Guys and Dolls, Bring it On, Bright Star, Jekyll & Hyde, Elf, Chess, The Full Monty. and Ragtime. Season auditions are for ALL roles, with show-specific auditions (as-needed) and callbacks scheduled separately. Please prepare 32-bars of an up-tempo song AND ballad for the audition (see Actor Requirements for details). Actors are asked to indicate the productions that they are most interested in (see Actor Roles section). However, directors may ask the actor to consider a different production if it works with their schedule. With Actor consent, each audition will be filmed by AET Theatre for their internal use only. Based on the season audition process, actors may be cast in a production (or several productions), cast pending call-backs, or not cast at this time.

BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR YOUR AUDITION: PLEASE TRIPLE-CHECK your availability relative to the rehearsal/show schedule above. Each Actor will be asked to confirm that they have no or minimal conflicts (1-3 rehearsals max/not during tech week or shows).
NOTE FOR STUDENT ACTORS AGES 18 AND UNDER: Arts Express Theatre is dedicated to arts education as the foundation for developing high-caliber, triple-threat musical theatre skills. Students wishing to be cast in a Main Stage Musical need a minimum of 12 AE Arts Education Credits. These credits can be purchased for current or future programs and can be banked for 12 months.
