It's happening! This is the first full season of my new Chicana forward theater company - BlackTop Gunn Theatrics: Teatro de la Calle. What better way to celebrate than by bringing back out beloved "Pastorela!" Yes, that's right, I am producing this folklore tradition in a brand new production with a full cast of some of our most seasoned Pastorela performers and some brand new to this tradition. Come celebrate a preview of "Pastorela del Pueblo: Where Have all the Messiahs Gone" during our May 1st fundraiser, and a little taste of the rest of my very first season! And, of course, music and a super fun silent auction. Come get your Pachanga on!

WHERE: The Kit House - 305 E. University Blvd. 85705. This outdoor event will take place at the Kit House (NE corner of 5th Avenue and University)

We've just finished our first weeklong workshop of the new script. It's full of juicy farce, Christmas carols sung in both Spanish and English, old traditions and lots of new ones. And a Piñata for the little ones! While we are still basking in our first Pastorela ecstasy, come help be a part of this Nueva Pastorela Community, and let's raise the money together to get our cherished production back up this December!
