Today we will be getting into the nitty gritty of what you need to know to film your next project in Arizona. Join us TODAY, Thursday, April 28th at 3pm AZ Time/PST on Zoom as we cover the basic of shooting a movie in beautiful Arizona. We will be joined by an amazing group of Arizona Filmmakers and crew department heads as we share what happens when the cameras roll. This panel will pull no punches as we will look at the good, the bad, and yes, also the ugly in terms of Arizona's strengths and weaknesses.

 

Panelists include Award Winning Hair and Makeup Artist and business owner Margarita Potts; Narrative and Documentary Film Producer, Director, and Editor Erin Benzenhoefer; Award Winning Director of Photography and Still Photographer Tomas Arceo, Award Winning Cinematographer, Editor, and Special Effect Artist and Colorist; Bobby "RS" Francis; and our Panel Moderator; Award Winning Producer, Editor, Production Sound Mixer, and President of Independent Film Arizona, Elisa Cota-Francis.

Staying true to its mission of showcasing independent film, the Arizona International Film Festival has exhibited over 3,000 films representing 100 countries to over 168,000 patrons in southern Arizona. And now, the 30th edition will select more exciting and innovative films from around the world for Arizona audiences. The Selection Committee has released their selection of films including 30 features and 80+ shorts from 22 countries for screening at the 30th Arizona International Film Festival. The Selection Committee praised the quality and diversity of the record number of films submitted this year.
