Subject: Free Cine Mexico Filmmakers Workshop at the Loft Saturday 11:30 AM
The creative team behind the hit film A Day Without a Mexican, Sergio Arau and Yareli Arizmendi, will hold a free filmmakers workshop at The Loft on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11:30 AM. The workshop is a program of the second annual Cine Mexico film festival at The Loft.
Sergio and Yareli will focus on the process of conceiving, writing, producing and directing, and their presentation will include clips from their work. Sergio and Yareli co-wrote the script for A Day Without a Mexican, which was based on their earlier short film. Sergio directed the film, and Yareli was the lead actor. Both filmmakers have extensive and varied backgrounds. Yareli has been active in theatre as well as film, and Sergio's career extends into music and art.
