I am directing and producing the film. This is my first film and I am currently working on an MFA in digital cinema. I require at least one parent to be present during all filming. The parent is not required to participate in the film itself.

Short Film - Need 1 Actor and 2 Child Actors (Tucson)

 

Short film being filmed in the Patagonia/Elgin Area. Casting for the following parts:

Lead: James, 24-30 years old, 5'11" or taller, medium boned. Must be able to speak in a slight British accent, have a clear speaking voice and convey emotion well.

Young James: 9-11 years old. 

Young Sarah: 9-11 years old. Must be petite, brown hair (preferably long and curly) & eyes.

Children's scenes involve: running, flying a kite, dancing and a simulated kiss on mouth (between the two kids). 

Submissions will be accepted over the next one to two weeks. Filming will be in August or September. This will be nailed down after casting. Filming is expected to be for 1-2 days over a weekend. For the children, one day only.

We will contact you whether or not you have been accepted to come in for an audition. If chosen, we will set up an appointment with you. Please include a recent picture, resume and/or reel. For the children's parts, first time actors are welcome. There is only one line of dialogue and the rest is just being kids.

Film is expected to be shown in 3-5 film festivals. This is on an ultra-low budget, so there is no pay. All actors will receive credit and a copy of the film on DVD.

The story: A writer in the 19th century, who's lost his wife, remembers moments with her when he was a child and is haunted by her in dreams.
