Pima Community College Music presents PCC Wind Ensemble in concert

Tucson, Arizona--Pima Community College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mark Nelson, ends its fall season with an eclectic mix of new literature and band classics as well as works for brass ensemble, woodwind ensemble and percussion ensemble. Program highlights include the popular “Pineapple Poll Suite” by Gilbert and Sullivan, “The Gum-Suckers March” by Percy Grainger, “Xerxes” by John Mackey, “The Peanut Vendor (El Manisero)” by Moises Simons and “Yorkshire Ballad” by James Barnes. “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson, an annual PCC Wind Ensemble holiday tradition, concludes the program.
