An aspiring playwright, a beautiful young actress, an aging Hollywood star and a famous author discover the messed up joys and thrilling heartbreaks of the struggle to create new art.

In this irreverent, contemporary, and very funny remix of Chekhov's The Seagull, Aaron Posner stages a timeless battle between young and old, past and present, in search of the true meaning of it all.Stupid F#!*ing Bird will tickle, tantalize, and incite you to consider how art, love, and revolution fuel your own pursuit of happiness.

​This Tucson premiere was originally developed at the acclaimed Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Winding Road's production stars ensemble members Tony Caprile as Sorn and China Young as Mash. Winding Road is also pleased to present Tucson favorites Jodi Ajanovic as Emma, Liz Claire Feliciano as Nina, Tyler Gastelum as Dev, Samantha Severson as Con and Richard Thompson as Trigorin.
