Tucson: Casting SCAM Alert

RE: Everyday Looking People For Movie Extra Work

Dear TTA List Members,

I try to screen most of what goes on the list.  Occasionally a bad apple slips through.  "Global Entertainment" is a known scam.  When you call the phone number given the machine says, "Thank you for calling Global Entertainment..."  They have many different phone numbers.

If you get through, you will be directed to a website where you will be told you have to pay $139.00. (You should never have to pay for this kind service. Legitimate companies make their money from commissions collected from the productions themselves.)

Please do not waste your time responding to the announcement sent on September 7 (copy below).

A special thanks to "Anne", the TTA List member who brought this to my attention.

Best Regards,

Bill
TTA List Administrator

To reply, please see below. “Everyday Looking People" are needed to work as background extras. All ages, shapes and sizes are required so anyone interested in working as a PAID extra in a non-union film are welcome. Filming has already begun in Tucson and will continue for several months. Extras may work one day or several depending on their schedule. 1-800- ZZZ-ZZZZ.
