Subject: The Rogue Theatre presents Genet's THE BALCONY

THE ROGUE THEATRE (a new theatre company begun by Joseph McGrath and Cynthia Meier) presents its premier production of Jean Genet's The Balcony.  In a series of vivid scenes, the occupants of the brothel engage in elaborate role-playing fantasies that mimic the nature of the society at large. Described by Jean-Paul Sartre as “Genet’s masterpiece,” The Balcony is rarely performed and promises to be a colorful and intellectually challenging evening in the theatre.
