Susan Claassen, Managing Artistic Director (520-884-0672)

The Invisible Theatre is joining organizations across our nation in raising much needed funds to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.   We are pleased to announce that the Preview performance for the opening show of our 35th Season, DEAD CERTAIN – a mystery thriller written by Marcus Lloyd - will be designated as a special benefit performance with all proceeds going to help Southern Rep in New Orleans.

Southern Rep, a professional, non profit theatre located in New Orleans, was devastated by Katrina and its aftermath.  They hope to rebuild, and their goal is to raise funds to survive this transition and to become a major part of the cultural scene that drives the new New Orleans.

This benefit performance will be at the Invisible Theatre (1400 N. First Avenue,

at Drachman) on Monday, September 19, at 7:30 pm. Ticket price is $16.

Call 520-882-9721 for reservations.

Agencies affiliated with the Tucson evacuees that know individuals who would like to see a performance of this mystery thriller as our guests are asked to call our box office  (520-882-9721) for further information.  The show runs from September 19 to October 9th.

DEAD CERTAIN, starring Maedell Dixon and Max Bird-Ridnell, directed by Susan Claassen and written by Marcus Lloyd, tells the story of an out-of-work actor once on the verge of stardom, a theatre-obsessed ex-dancer now wheelchair-bound and a large isolated country house – all of which combine to be the ingredients in this psychological thriller!  What does fate have in store for them both?  The suspense builds towards a gripping climax, where truth and illusion become entangled in a real life game of cat and mouse.

“DEAD CERTAIN is an entertaining psychological diversion…”

-Monterey Weekly

Please Note:  The Seminar Night for DEAD CERTAIN will now be following the Wednesday, October 5th performance.
