Embodying Power - featuring Power Plays & Solo Voices

Solo Voices directed by Dr. Christin Essin * Power Plays directed by Carrie J. Cole  

Presented by UA’s Studio Series 

"The student cast of Solo Voices (Act 1) has devised a series of original, 5-minute, individual performance pieces that explore their own voices as individuals and skills as performers.  The pieces range from the comic to the tragic, the conversational story to slapstick humor, the complexities of family relationships to the eccentricities of personal belief and behavior. " - Dr. Christin Essin, Director.

Dry, Sweaters & Bad Ideas, Chavezplay: An Unveiling, & Swift are the titles of the four Power Plays written by students and directed by Assistant Professor, Carrie J. Cole.

March 3, 4, 5 at 8pm

March 6 at 2pm

 

Place: Harold Dixon Directing Studio, Drama Bldg. (Room 116)

 

Cost/Admission: $7

Power Plays: NOT suitable for middle school audiences, OK for mature high school audiences, contains adult language and situations.

Solo Voices: NOT suitable for middle school audiences, OK for mature high school audiences, contains mature situations.

Parking:  Park Avenue Garage, located at the northeast corner of Park and Speedway Blvd.  Pre-paid parking is available for weekday evening performances. Saturday and Sunday there is no charge to park.
