JULY 2026 ANNOUNCEMENT — UPCOMING CLASSES & EVENTS

ZUZI! Dance invites the community to join an exciting summer and fall lineup of movement workshops, Zoom classes, aerial trapeze sessions, and more. All in-person classes are held at the sYnapse at Studio Y, 650 N 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705, unless otherwise noted. Register at zuzimoveit.org.

 

DANCE AS AN ELEMENT OF LIFE

 

How we move through the day informs our movements in dance. When are we comfortable? When are we uncomfortable? What challenges us? Explore this relationship through directed movement experiences and journaling.

Schedule	Wednesdays, 10:00–11:30am
Dates	July 8 – July 29
Location	sYnapse at Studio Y
Cost	Suggested donation $10 per class. No one will be denied participation due to lack of funds. All community members welcome.

Lucid Movement	Saturdays, 10:00–11:15am — July 11–25 & Sept 19–26
Summer Modern	Thursdays, 5:00–6:30pm — July 9–23 & Sept 10–24

 

SUMMER MODERN — WITH LEAH HERRING

 

All levels welcome.

Schedule	Tuesdays, 5:00–6:00pm (no class July 7)
Dates	June 2 – July 14
Cost	Suggested donation $10; no one is denied due to lack of funds

 

GROUP IMPROV DANCE CAMP — WITH GRIFF GOEHRING

 

This series celebrates finding our way into a creative community built with dance. Join us for the full series, or drop in for one session to give it a try. For adults and older teens.

Dates	August 4, 6, 7 & 11, 13, 14
Time	5:00–6:30pm
Cost	$120 for 6 sessions, or $20 drop-in

 

AERIAL TRAPEZE — FALL SESSIONS BEGIN AUGUST 10

 

These class sessions blend the elegance of dance with the exhilaration of aerial trapeze, with Kiona Daelyn. No prior experience is necessary for beginner youth and adult sessions.

Beginner Youth	Ages 7–11 — Mondays, 3:45–5:00pm
Intermediate Youth	Ages 7–11, prior aerial experience — Wednesdays, 4:00–5:15pm
Adult	Open level, beginners welcome — Wednesdays, 5:30–6:45pm
Session 1	August 10/12 – September 28/30 (varies by class)
Session 2	October 19/21 – December 14/16 (no class November 25)
Cost	$250 per session. Drop in: $35
