Subject: LOST - A POP CHAMBER OPERA - looking for singers who can belt - Arizona Onstage

Arizona Onstage Productions, with several award-winning musicals and shows under its belt including Assassins, A New Brain and BARK!, presents the Southwest premiere of the pop opera LOST - a mysterious and quirky exploration of the story of Hansel and Gretel. We are looking for 11 singers, both young and adult, to be a part of this exciting and magical chamber opera written by Jessica Grace Wing, with text by Kirk Wood Bromley, directed by Kevin Johnson, and with orchestration and musical direction by Tim Warren. This show was the hit of the New York Fringe Festival of New Musicals in 2003. Composer Jessica Grace Wing, a Tucson native and graduate of University High, died tragically young and right before she could see her show at the festival.

"A precise, sparkling score" - The New Yorker

"Best musical on the fringe isn't even a musical. Technically a chamber opera, Lost has more musicianship and lyrical verve than any of this year's misguidedly tacky aspiring Urinetowns." Time Out - New York

I am looking for a cast eager to do something not only new, but also unique.

A small stipend will be paid. Performances are October 31st and November 1st at Zuzi's Theatre.

Go to www.arizonaonstage.org for more information and/or email director Kevin Johnson at kevinj65@aol.com.
