Tucson, Arizona – Pima Community College performing arts department presents a music faculty recital with pianist Raymond T. Ryder and colleagues Eileen Perry on piano, Carol Christofferson on clarinet, Ann Weaver on viola, Michael Keepe, on saxophone, vocalists Jonathon Ng and Nancy Davis Booth. The Pima music faculty members will present a delightful variety of chamber music performing works involving piano in collaboration with instruments and voice.

Christofferson, Weaver and Ryder open the program with Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” Trio showcasing several different aspects of Mozart. (In addition to being famous as both a composer and pianist, Mozart also played the viola. Late in his career he featured clarinet in several compositional masterpieces.) Tenor and conductor Ng and Ryder perform arias by George Fredrick Handel for solo voice with piano. Keepe performs 20th century French music for saxophone and piano.
Ryder and Perry perform the beautiful, melodious “Pas de Deux” from the ballet suite “Souvenirs” by the American composer Samuel Barber. To round out the afternoon’s program, soprano Davis Booth and Christofferson perform Franz Schubert’s “Shepherd on the Rock.” Davis Booth is new to Pima’s faculty, but a familiar favorite to Tucson audiences.

The Pima Community College Center for the Arts is located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson (just west of downtown). For ticket information contact the box office at 206-6986, www.pima.edu/cfa or centerforthearts@pima.edu <mailto:centerforthearts@pima.edu> .
