BORDERLANDS THEATER TO PRESENT THE PLAY “ BETWEEN PANCHO VILLA AND A NAKED WOMAN” BY SABINA BERMAN.

 

A witty and incisive comedy from one of Mexico’s leading playwrights. A glimpse at the primal macho hidden within the progressive intellectual and the desire to be loved smoldering within a liberated woman. “Between Pancho Villa and a Naked Woman” brandishes humor as a tool of critique and reflection on gender roles and feminist issues in contemporary Mexican society.  

“Between Pancho Villa and a Naked Woman” has been produced in Mexico and the U.S. Its premiere production earned seven awards from the Mexican Critics Association in 1994, including Best New Play of the Year, and the show was eventually made into an award-winning film.
Directed by Eva Tessler.  Featuring Lissa Staples, Robert Encila, Annabelle Nunez, Roberto Guajardo and Bryant Enriquez.
