Captivating and enduring, Cinderella’s immortal love story transcends all cultures. Over the years, this rags-to-riches tale has delighted and inspired countless people in every corner of the world. Pima’s production takes the classic Cinderella story, and enhances it with Asiatic elegance and style. Sri Lankan and Indian influences magically transforms the familiar costumes and choreography into an exotic version that irresistibly captures the romance of “happily aver after.” Rodgers and Hammerstein’s sumptuous and unforgettable score includes The Prince is Giving a Ball, In My Own Little Corner, Fol-de-rol, Impossible/Possible, Stepsisters' Lament, Ten Minutes Ago and Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?.

“Cinderella,” the eighth musical production directed by Poelstra, taps into the choreography skills of Nugent, musical direction of Waggoner, the experience of pit orchestra conductor Dr. Mark Nelson and the luxurious costume designs of Maryann Trombino. “Cinderella” will transport children and adults alike from “their own little corner” to a wondrous place they’ll never want to leave.

The Pima Community College Center for the Arts is located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson (just west of downtown). For ticket information contact the box office at 206-6986 or centerforthearts@pima.edu.
