Wayback Machine

          The Wayback Machine may show up as anything between a three piece acoustic trio to a nine piece deluxe dance band with a full horn section.

          Wayback Machine core members Tom Wooley (guitars and bass), Bev Seckinger (bass and guitar) and Jim Lipson (percussion and harmonicas) will be joined by Mike Begala on guitar.  Sometimes referred to as a jamband, the Wayback Machine distinguishes itself with its multi-part harmonies and a songbook of close to 200 tunes.

Drama Club

          Drama Club is Tucson's newest cover band and features the sounds of 60's soul and '70s funk, as well as tunes from the rock and country genres.  The band is helmed by Jennifer Fordney on lead vocals and longtime KXCI DJ Susan "SusieB" Banes on drums. Brandon Phillips takes lead guitar, Ryan Anderson chimes in on guitar and harmonica, and Georgia Taylor handles bass.

             Banes, one of Tucson's rare female drummers, put the band together after stints with other bands. She says "Our goal is to make people 'shake their thang!'  We want to specialize in songs not normally tackled by cover bands, including works by Etta James, Joan Osborne, Stevie Nicks and Rare Earth, just to name a few."

 

Guests joining the band for this event will be Blue Baldwin on backup vocals and Matthew Boling on keyboard.
