Nickelodeon Char & Getaway Team – AM/PM
This role requires team member to be between 4 ft 11 in and 5 ft 2 in in order to fit into character costume. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in activities for the Nickelodeon Getaway. Promote a fun, energized and comfortable atmosphere for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities, including providing tours. Serve as Host for live Nickelodeon themed events and activities. Lead and/or perform in Nickelodeon-themed shows following basic scripts and using improvisation during shows as needed. Must be a confident performer who is capable of performing in front of and engaging audiences in live-show activities. May involve performing basic dance routines, singing, and will perform in a character costume. Maintain constant surveillance of all activity in the recreational area to ensure safety and security of children and adults. Identify situations where guest is not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Prep for show and clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
