The Perfect Crime.
The plan was perfect, the people weren’t
Fair Films is gearing up to shoot a no-budget feature: At the end of three thieves' crime spree they discover the crimes were easy, it will be each other that prove deadly.
Speaking roles;
Character: John; a dirty cop whose taste for an off-color life has lead him well beyond the grey shades of life. A would-be sleazy lothario John’s temper may get him killed if he doesn’t destroy the plan first.
Male.
Character: Chester; a drug-addled rat from the streets. Chester is dumb and shortsighted but thinks of himself as a loyal and helpful friend to Morgan.
Male.
Character: Morgan; an alcoholic pathological liar. What he says is never what he means but Morgan’s ability to be unreliable reliably makes him valuable but untrustworthy. He has a strange sweetness when he needs to but never fails to fall back to his worst when it suits.
Male.
Character: “Figure”; the mysterious man who may be helping or hunting John and Elsa.
Character: Guy; the leader in their underworld, Guy is suave and nice on the outside but is decidedly deadly when crossed or made angry. Guy is sure he’s always the smartest person in the room and that may well get him killed.
Male.
Character: Natalie; Natalie is a sweet coed who happens to meet John at a pivotal point in his life. She’s an unabashed daddy’s girl but likes to drink a little too much.
Character: Soto; a psychopath whose only real goal in life is to amass as much power to allow him as many things in life as he can. Soto has both a jealousy and desire for Elsa and a growing destine for Guy. He thinks of John as a moron and Morgan as a nuisances.
Male.
Character: Ted; the lovely, oblivious manager of the jewelry store the thieves are going to rob. Ted immediately fancies John and lets those feelings get in the way of really noticing things around him.
Male.
Character: Emilio; Elsa’s confidant, Emilio has been hardened by his life, which closely mirrored Elsa’s until his retirement, but he has now come to understand the ‘game’ better than anyone else around and Elsa seeks his advice when she feels cornered.
Male.
Non-speaking roles; 4 extras between the ages of 25 and 50 for shoppers. Shoot dates will be late September.
No pay but you get a copy of the film and lots of good food during the shoot and rehearsals.
