ZUZI! Dance Company, School & Theater presents its fall, biannual No Frills Dance Happenin'. A variety of performers throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona come to share fresh and innovative works from various stages of the creative process. The works range from serious to silly and some are presented here for the first time. Performances on the ground and in the air are interspersed with the off-the-wall antics of ZUZI!’s lovable MC Carie Schneider.
Friday’s Youth Night performances will include hip hop, modern, aerial trapeze, and other dances performed by various groups including: Ballet Rincon, Pistor Dance Ensemble, ZUZI! “Many Limbs” Youth Aerial and Apprentice Companies, and many more. Saturday night’s Choreographers’ Showcase features performances by independent artists Tanya Fisher, Mehta Halstead, FUNHOUSE movement theater, Tucson Arts Brigade Dance Troupe, Hypnotic, Arts for All, and many more. Special guest musicians for both nights will be Pablo and Friends. With a wide range of dance styles and approaches, the evening is sure to offer something for everyone- come in, be moved!
