Arizona Opera invites singers to audition for its professional Chorus for the 2026/27 Season. The Arizona Opera Chorus performs alongside world-class guest artists and the Arizona Opera Orchestra in fully-staged productions presented in both Phoenix and Tucson. Chorus members bring to life some of the most beloved works in the operatic repertoire before thousands of audience members each season.

TUCSON AUDITION DATES

WEDNESDAY April 11	6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
SATURDAY April 14	11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

Phoenix auditions are also available for those unable to attend Tucson dates: Arizona Opera Center  ·  1636 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix Wednesday, March 7  |  6:30–8:00 PM Saturday, March 10  |  11:00 AM–2:00 PM Tuesday, March 20  |  6:30–8:00 PM Saturday, April 7  |  11:00 AM–2:00 PM

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Each auditioner will be scheduled for a 5-minute slot. Please prepare the following two selections and edit them to fit within the allotted time:

1.   An aria or art song in Italian

2.   An aria or art song in French or German

Accompanist	A pianist will be provided. You may also bring your own accompanist.
Slot Length	5 minutes per auditioner — please time and edit your selections accordingly.

Chorus members will perform in fully-staged mainstage productions at Tucson venues throughout the 2026/27 season:

Note: El Gato con Botas (Tucson, Nov 14–15, 2026) will be performed by Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artists and does not require chorus. Final chorus assignment per production to be confirmed upon engagement.
