Tucson Improv Movement Upcoming Shows and Classes

One of my favorite things about comedy is that it's something anyone can try. You don't need years of experience, a background in theater, or even think of yourself as "the funny one." Sometimes all it takes is showing up and giving it a shot. So I totally recommend you jump into one of our upcoming Improv 101 and Stand Up 101 classes.

Stand Up 101 class starts Sunday, March 22nd, with Rory Monserat, and it's perfect for anyone who has ever thought, "I've got a story that could work on stage." The class walks you through the nuts and bolts of how jokes work, and helps you build the confidence to perform. Then on Tuesday, March 24, Jess Hill kicks off our next Improv 101 class. Improv is all about collaboration, creativity, and learning to say "yes, and." It's one of the most fun ways I know to get out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and laugh a lot along the way. If you've ever thought about trying comedy, these classes are the perfect place to start.

Improv Madness is in full swing, two teams have already punched their ticket to the championship: Beards and Beanies & Near Far Wherever Noir! The competition heats up this week as another round of hopefuls compete on Saturday night at 8:30 pm, where we will solidify our final four. On March 22nd-24th, you can vote one Wild Card Team into the finals. Then they all go head-to-head for the comedy crown and eternal Improv Madness glory on March 28th!

And finally, mark your calendars because Improvathon returns this May. 24+ nonstop hours of comedy on our very own stage. We'll have more details soon, but trust me, you won't want to miss it.
