ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Light and Dark is an original full-length circus show conceived, written, and performed entirely by the teen performance class of the Circus and Aerial Academy of Tucson. Showcasing the advanced skills of Tucson’s rising circus artists, this production represents the highest level of training the Academy offers — a testament to months of rigorous rehearsal and creative collaboration.
The Circus Academy’s performance troupe has earned a reputation for award-winning circus theatre, including Best Local Show and Best Movement/Dance Show at the Tucson Fringe Festival 2023. Light and Dark continues that legacy of excellence with a brand-new original work.
ABOUT THE CIRCUS AND AERIAL ACADEMY OF TUCSON
Founded in 2015, the Circus and Aerial Academy of Tucson is dedicated to circus arts education for youth and adults in an open and supportive environment. Students train in aerial acrobatics, aerial silks, aerial rope, balance, acrobatic skills, and prop work. The Academy builds strength, self-confidence, and a lifelong love of the circus arts — and regularly brings that artistry to Tucson’s stages.
