Arizona Theatre Company is actively hiring across production, administration, and patron services. ATC is the only LORT theatre in the country producing in two cities — Tucson (Temple of Music and Art) and Phoenix/Tempe (Tempe Center for the Arts). Founded in 1966, ATC operates with an annual budget of approximately $8.5M and employs 72 full-time staff plus 100–125 guest artists each season. Production Manager

A senior leadership role on ATC's Officer Leadership Team. The Production Manager provides end-to-end oversight of all production departments and staff, manages production budgets, builds season schedules, and ensures smooth transfers between the Tucson and Tempe/Phoenix venues. This position directly hires and mentors the Technical Director, Charge Scenic Artist, Props Supervisor, Costume Director, Lighting/Projection Supervisor, Sound Supervisor, Stage Managers, and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create, implement, and track budgets for all ATC productions; provide regular updates to Artistic Director, Executive Director, and CFO
• Schedule and oversee rehearsals, production/design meetings, load-ins, tech/dress rehearsals, and performances
• Oversee the Tucson-to-Tempe/Phoenix transfer of each production while maintaining artistic integrity
• Serve as primary IATSE contact; negotiate labor agreements in conjunction with the Executive Director
• Hire and mentor all production department heads; collaborate with Artistic Director on creative team hiring
• Implement and coordinate ATC Safety Programs within the Production Department
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in technical theatre, stage management, or production management
• Familiarity with union rules: LORT, AEA, SDC, USA, and IATSE
• Ability to read technical drawings; proficiency in Microsoft 365, Dropbox
• Established network of industry colleagues, vendors, and collaborators
• Knowledge of the standard of excellence required of a LORT B theatre

Properties Carpenter

A hands-on production shop role focused on the construction and restoration of props for ATC's mainstage season. Work spans furniture fabrication, hand props, set dressing, and load-in support across both Tucson and Phoenix venues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain rehearsal and show props — with primary focus on furniture construction and restoration
• Deliver and transfer props to theatres and rehearsal halls; dress scenery during load-ins and remounts
• Fabricate or alter hand props, paper props, consumable props, and soft goods
• Assist Props Supervisor during load-ins, strikes, and remounts in both cities
• Assist Scenic Carpenters with scenery builds as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Expertise in fine woodworking, cabinetry, and theatrical prop construction
• Proficient with table saws, band saws, chop saws, belt sanders, grinders, and hand tools
• Ability to build from construction drawings and photographs; ability to craft unusual items from unconventional materials
• Valid driver's license required; willingness to learn 26' box truck and forklift operation a plus
• Painting, sculpting, sewing, and upholstery skills a plus

Executive Assistant & Board Liaison

A key administrative role supporting ATC's two top executives and ensuring effective coordination with the Board of Directors. Requires exceptional organization, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for theatre and nonprofit work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive support to the Executive Director and Artistic Director: calendar management, meeting scheduling, expense tracking, file maintenance, and confidential correspondence
• Serve as primary Board liaison: schedule Board and Committee meetings, prepare/distribute agendas and minutes, manage communications, assist with Board events
• Maintain Board records: committee rosters, terms, and governance documents
• Coordinate logistics across ATC's Phoenix/Tempe and Tucson operations
• Support executive leadership across Artistic, Fundraising, Marketing, Operations, Outreach, and Education
• Assist with drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence and reports
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ years professional experience in a nonprofit organization; theatre or performing arts preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong proofreading abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive), Zoom, Dropbox, and CRM/database systems
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated; able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Patron Services Associate

A box office team role serving ATC patrons across phone, email, and in-person channels. Ideal for someone personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with CRM software in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage inbound calls, online requests, and emails — prioritizing, categorizing, and responding through to completion
• Assist patrons over the phone, via email, and in-person in a professional and friendly manner
• Process season and single ticket orders, ticket exchanges, and other ticket-related requests
QUALIFICATIONS
• Exceptional customer service / client relations expertise
• Strong computer skills; proficiency with CRM, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent telephone etiquette; strong typing skills
• Experience with Spektrix or other ticketing systems a plus
• Interest in theatre or the performing arts a plus
