GLBT Play Festival seeks submissions from Southwestern playwrights

Stark Naked Productions is seeking scripts for their First Words Festival of GLBT plays by Southwestern playwrights to be produced, with royalties, in Tucson Arizona in the Spring of 2006.  Plays may be of any length, and can have been previously performed, but must be unpublished.  No musicals or screenplays please.  We are looking for plays with GLBT characters and themes, with a preference for plays focusing on “family life.”

Submissions must be postmarked by October 31, 2005 to be eligible.   Playwrights must be currently residing in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico or Utah to be eligible to submit.  Each playwright may only submit ONE play.

To submit:
Please send two copies of the play without the name of the playwright on any page.  Include your name in a separate cover letter.  No e-mail submissions, please. If you wish acknowledgment of receipt please include a SASP.  If you wish your scripts returned please include a SASE.
