Western Short Film - Lead - White Female 18-25

McBride is a western short that we are shooting February 21-23 in Gammons Gulch (near Benson). Our leading lady had to back out so we are looking to fill the role of Anne McBride, daughter of protagonist Jesse McBride. This is a big role with lots of lines and she shoots someone!!!

Please respond with a headshot and resume or experience. I also enjoy working with people who have never acted before so if you've ever wanted to give it a shot don't be afraid to send an email.

Our first western, Blackwood, won IFASA 2013 Best Film.

Arizona Daily Star's Mac Awards for Tucson theater in 2013

Congratulations to all of the Mac award nominees and winners…

Mac Awards for Tucson theater in 2013

By Kathy Allen

Tucson theater has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous this year.

On the one hand, you have The Rogue Theatre’s sobering “Mother Courage and Her Children.” On the other, there’s Arizona Onstage Productions’ giddy “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.”

Over at Arizona Theatre Company, the deliriously silly “Xanadu” followed the thoughtful “Mountaintop.”

And Arizona Repertory Theatre gave us the sophisticated “Nine,” about a midlife crisis, and the completely zany “Boeing Boeing,” about a swinging bachelor in the swinging ’60s.

Here’s the thing: Sublime or ridiculous, Tucson stages in 2013 offered thrills, laughs and substance.

Those that moved us, amused us and provoked us the most are honored with the Star’s Mac Awards, now in their 13th year.

The 2013 Mac nominees and winners:

Video Concept and Treatment for "All Sunday With You"
By Daemon Lover

Concept

The concept for this video is a comic slant on old love story/scene featured in the song about two mad crazy lovers spending a long luxurious day laying around in bed, making love, watching tv, enjoying the simple pleasures of intimacy, and knowing the bliss and absolute perfection of a lazy loved filled Sunday. The general concept of the video starts with a lonely man making his way thorough the city streets to meet up with his lover. The anticipation and anxiety builds when he comes to the door of a beautiful waiting lady. What is revealed next is the man is dropping off a puppy dog, that the two seem to be sharing in some sort of custody share from a break up that they recently suffered.
The video depicts this lovely woman relaxing all day long in a big white sheets and pillow bed with this warm and precious puppy dog, knowing the safety and cozy comfort that sometimes only a furry friend can provide.

Treatment

The opening scene starts off with a man at a pay phone talking to his love who is somewhere across town, he is desperate to see her. He exits his taxi and eventually comes to her apartment building. He has not seen her in what seems like weeks, her absence has taken a considerable toll. The elevator being out of service, he has to climb a long staircase to his lovers door. The anticipation of him finally seeing her builds to the point where the woman opens the door just when the predictable scene would potentially play out the scene opens up to the man handing off a leash with a cute little puppy dog. The woman in a burst of joy sweeps down to pick up the adorable little creature, the love she has been waiting to see for so long, has finally arrived, and now she will spend the rest of the day in the company of gentle companionship and childlike playfulness.

As the lyrics of the song play in the background: " I've got nowhere to go, I've got nowhere to be, nothing to do but lay in bed all All Sunday with You,"

The scene reveals a big soft bed with big fluffy pillows and white sheets and comforter. We see a lovely and sweet woman in her lazy day cloths, white tank top or t shirt, comfy shorts, warm sun from the window across her skin, laying in bed with her cute puppy dog, lick her nose, barking and playing. She reads a book, while the dog sits on the bed taking a nap. She lays in bed watching tv, whilte the puppy tries to take a lick of her ice cream as she is enjoying her snack.

Later the two go for a walk in the park, beautiful sunny day in the park, kids playing people in the background barbecuing, people being festive.

The story is about being emotionally independent and about friendship and how sometimes what we really need is much more simpler and easeier to find and attain then the complicated entanglements of a romance and possession.

Please respond with head shots and any video clips you have posted on the internet

SHORT ATTENTION SPAN THEATRE is an original, ensemble-written show featuring 30 short plays in 60 minutes. Based on The Neo-Futurists’ TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND, these performances will take place on the second and third Saturday nights of nearly every month throughout the 2013-2014 Etcetera season. Each show will be performed in an entirely new order, decided by the audience. Each month will feature new, original material.

Originally created in the Fall of 2011 at the University of Arizona, this revival of SHORT ATTENTION SPAN THEATRE pushes the boundaries of what a two-minute play can be. SAST involves a mixture of sketch comedy and devised work.  The ensemble-written plays may be fiction or non-fiction, realist or abstract, movement-based or focused on spoken text. The only restriction upon the scripts is time. As a result, the show comments on current events, personal experiences, or any other pressing issues that the creators believe are important. SAST’s main goal is to explore theatrical expression within a time limit. Rather, we’re exploring 30 different theatre experiences within 60 minutes.

Upcoming performances (subject to change, please check website for updated information): January 11, 18; February 8, 15; May 10, 17
