REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR CLEAN SLATE!!

 

 

 

 

 

CLEAN SLATE will explore the art of musical theatre storytelling through music, movement, and text, providing instruction on what musicals are, and how to audition for them! By the end of the program, each child will have the tools to do a vocal warm-up, one fantastic audition song, sheet music in the appropriate key, a rehearsal track to practice with at home, and a professional headshot and resume. On the final day of class, parents can come watch students perform at their "mock" audition!

Hello! Desert Melodies is rebranding its' name! We are now Bees Knees Speakeasy and we are appearing at The Century Room, located in the historic Hotel Congress on Sunday, July 30th. Show starts at 4:30 and it's going to be fantastic! You don't want to miss this performance.  Live music from the 1930s performed by a 6-piece band, 2 singers, belly dancers, flapper dancers, and a Burlesque Artist! Associate Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Chieko Imada creates another dazzling world premiere in partnership with the Tucson Desert Song Festival featuring the music of iconic French chanteuse Édith Piaf performed live onstage with our company's dancers. Originally created for Pacific Northwest Ballet's 40th Anniversary Season, Artistic Director Margaret Mullin's breathtaking ballet Lost in Light features original music by Tucson Symphony Orchestra Composer-in-Residence Dan Coleman. After the Rain Pas de Deux, an iconic piece by Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris and MJ The Musical), makes its Arizona debut on the Ballet Tucson stage.

The winning work from our 2023 Footprints at the Fox choreographer's showcase will make its main stage premiere.
