Old Pueblo Playwrights 3rd Annual New One Act Play Festival

Happy warm July day, OPP fans! As the monsoon takes a break this week, the weather may present more opportunities (111 degrees forecast for Tuesday!) to hunker down next to the air conditioner vent and, say, write plays about ex-lovers trapped together in a mountain cabin during a blizzard. Or something cool like that. It might be tragic, or it might turn out to be a comedy. You just never know.

The name of our organization is Old Pueblo Playwrights, but as we are comprised of a group of intrepid writers, many of us branch out to kindred mediums, such as radio drama and screenplays. It has been a while since we've read a screenplay at one of our meetings, so we're really looking forward to reading and discussing John Heyl's screenplay, "Magdalena" on Monday night. Come join us!

Don't forget to catch the 3rd Annual New One Act Play Festival still going on at Community Playhouse (1881 N. Oracle)! Reviews from OPP friends who have seen the show have been excellent, so don't miss it! Shows run tonight, tomorrow afternoon, and Friday through Sunday next weekend.
