I want to wish you are yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  It has been a pretty sucky year in a lot of aspects.  We have been closed going on 10 months and it looks like it will be at least a few more months before we get back at this in person.  And while I miss doing improv and making people laugh in person, the thing that I miss the most are moments.

One of the spectacular things about making things up constantly is that eventually we stumble into something memorable, something so funny that it will stick out in your mind forever.  Sometimes it happens in a show, and people are amazed, the magic happens with an audience and that is something special to behold.  But most of the time, it happens with an individual person while hanging out and talking about life before or after a show.  It happens in a rehearsal and you think why didn't that happen for an audience, but you and your teammates get something special and personal to share.  Or it happens as you're getting ready to walk out of the theater after a show like this little piece of cheer below.  This video is from the last Soap Box show before Christmas 2019, a special moment in my mind that will live forever.  It was the holidays so we let the music play while we were cleaning up, and at some point we just started dancing, and at some point people started taking a video, and this joyful, happy moment was captured.

I have been looking back at this video the past couple weeks, longing for what is in the past, hoping for what is in the future, but most importantly missing all of the little moments and magic that we didn't get to create this year.  TIM is a special place, the people who make the comedy here are amazing, smart, and caring people, and my biggest sadness of 2020 is we didn't get to spend more time together.

It feels like we are at the end of a dark tunnel, and hopefully pretty quickly into 2021 we can get back to half normal, and the hopefully 100% normal.  I can't wait for that to happen, and I can't wait to share all of that with you.  So stay safe this holiday season, hug the people that you can hug, and let's pull together to make the next year a special year full of moments!

As we are still closed, and postponing our January classes a bit longer, our main source of income at the moment is our TIM Online Store.  It would be an honor if you could take a minute and buy some merch to support our theater and keep us going.  Tonight we will perform the annual Ugly Sweater Show on our Facebook live, a lasting TIM tradition.  If you have some extra space this holiday season, it would be really meaningful for us if you could buy a Digital Edition Ticket.  Everything we earn right now goes to paying the rent for the next couple months.  It has been a struggle to get through this year, and every little bit helps!  We want to be there in the next couple months to open back up. Thank you so much for the support this year!
