Every week Dawn meets with a new improviser from somewhere in the world, and they perform a short 10-minute scene that gets delivered right to your Facebook feed on Friday morning.

This week, Dawn's guest is Don Slovin!

In true creative fashion, Don tells us his background and experience via a short poem:

Don Slovin's been doing theater and improv since 1970s Philly in the group Second Sight.

Now he jams for VIF and Scotty Watson's Live each Friday night.

From UCB, PRT, Magnet, Second City NYC, to Chicago City limits, Endangered Improv - too many teachers to mention.

Performed with Improvakatzia, Tact, JSP, VIF, Jest, Wingnuts, Frogmen of Gowanus, and Jamprov Improv Theater - which is his own invention.

Short-form, long-form, middle form, to get laughs and attention. Original forms - before they were named those conventions.

Placing some actors in long-running shows, daily NYC tour guide for 25 years, and four-hour one-man shows.

Not to mention playing drums, penny flute, and stuff in bands no one knows.

Metaphysical, readings, embracing the virtual learning, but back home to improv he kept on returning.

That's for another story, his rhyming is spent, but that's not to say he's out of content.

He prides himself in his ability to work with everyone and anyone, regardless, and gives thanks to all who have given him the opportunities.
