The Copper Children tells the true story of Irish immigrant orphans sent from New York to Arizona to be adopted by Mexican America mining families, only to be taken away due to racial prejudice.
Blending humor, tragedy, and sharp social commentary, the play explores the collision of good intentions and injustice in one of the largest kidnapping cases in U.S. history.

Up Next: Murder Mystery Dinner Theater
Borderlands Theater is thrilled to present the premiere of
Blame of Thrones, a wildly inventive Chicano parody of Game of Thrones —served with a full three-course feast and a side of absolute chaos.
Created by our very own Jonathan Heras, this immersive murder-mystery dinner brings audiences straight into the heart of South Westeros, where neighborhood rivalries, royal scandals, and telenovela-level betrayals sizzle louder than the kitchen.
The king is dead (again). The wine is poisoned (maybe). And every house—from the Orovallians to the Winterhavens to the fierce Wildthings of Three Points—is scheming for the throne.
Expect big personalities, locuras, and musical numbers so hilariously inappropriate you'll choke on your dessert.
This fully interactive experience puts you right in the middle of the action:
· A three-course royal dinner (brought to you by Little Mexico)
· A murder mystery where you might be the suspect
· Improvised comedy, chisme, and local Tucson shade
· A working set of stocks — someone's getting locked up
· '90s oldies–style musical numbers (yes, really)
If you love parodies, telenovelas, chicano humor, absurd comedy, or just a good meal with a side of murder, this show is for you.
Tickets are extremely limited and will disappear faster than a royal heir in South Westeros.
