Celebrate 40 seasons of Borderlands Theater with live Tejano music by Suerte, dinner from Little Mexico, mezcal tastings and Bacanora cocktails from Borderlands Spirits, raffle prizes, and dancing. Wear your best gown with your cowboy boots.

American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez — At The Loft Cinema
One-week run opening September 4 • The Loft Cinema, Tucson
This Sundance audience-favorite documentary tells the story of Luis Valdez, who built El Teatro Campesino out of the California fields and turned the pachuco and the Zoot Suit Riots into influential American stage art. The premiere screening includes a post-show Q&A with director David Alvarado and producer Everett Katigbak, moderated by Carlos A. Gutiérrez of Cinema Tropical.

Borderlands Theater is seeking a creative, organized Social Media & Marketing Associate to help grow audiences and promote productions, events, education programs, and fundraising initiatives.
The ideal candidate enjoys social media, photography and video, visual storytelling, community engagement, and the day-to-day marketing work that keeps campaigns moving. Responsibilities include social media management and content creation, digital marketing support, Constant Contact layout, event calendar listings, and staffing promotional booths at festivals and community events.
Experience in arts, culture, nonprofit, or community-based marketing is a plus.
