As we move into July, COVID cases are up, and we are shutting down again.  TIM officially falls in the category of places that were put on hold by the Governor through the end of July.  With that, we here at TIM are taking this time to pause and figure out next steps in continuing our organization.  Keeping a business going that hasn't opened in four months has been a challenge.  While we are in a good place we do need to take some time to re-conceptualize the next six months.

With that we have three things on the docket for this weekend.

  • An Improvised Vacation Show - Friday night at 7pm on our Facebook Live.  While most vacations are out the window this year, we wanted to give you a silly glimpse into vacation fun.  This show will feature a large number of TIM performers bringing a vacation to life.
  • Discussing Improv: An Afternoon Constitutional wraps up its last show of the first season on Sunday, with Harrison Brookie from South Carolina.  After that production will go on hiatus until season two.
  • Sketch 201 Digital Edition starts on Sunday!  Calling all students who completed Sketch 101, this class will take you through all of the different genre's of sketch writing.  Register today!

After we finish up this weekend, TIM will be taking a two week holiday from our regularly scheduled activities.  We will be taking a few weeks off from producing Digital Edition shows, the day to day social media posts will go on hold, and we are going to take some time to figure out next steps. Thank you for the continue support, and we are excited to see you on the other side!

Last but not least, please nominate us in the Tucson Weekly's Best Of awards

Here are some suggestions:

  • Best Comedy Night all the way on page 11, it's our main category.
  • Friends of Make Pretends anywhere there is a kids category.
  • Best Annual Festival nominate Cactus Flower Comedy Festival, our all female gender non-binary event.  Over the past 4 years it has grown into something we are really proud of.
  • Best Comedian any TIMproviser that you love!
