A Special Event to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001

On September 11th 2001 at 8:46 a.m., American Airlines flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center Tower One, just above the 93rd floor. The tower remained standing for 102 minutes. No one above the point of impact survived.

Hole in the Sky, a play by Reed McColm, depicts the last 102 minutes of the lives of some of those trapped above the point of impact, inspired by actual people and events. The play was a finalist for the Pen Award in 2003. It is being performed this September 11th at numerous theaters in the US and Canada.

Winding Road Theater Ensemble will perform a reading of Hole in the Sky on Saturday September 11th at 7:30 pm at the Cabaret Theater at 330 Scott Avenue. This reading is open to the public, at no charge.

Hole in the Sky is directed by Artistic Director Maria Caprile, and stars Noe Austin, Denise Blum*, Tony Caprile*, Gianbari Deebom, Damian Garcia, Tyler Gastelum*, Mike Saxon, and Myani Watson. There will be no ticketing for this event. In order to reserve your seat, please sign up at the link below. All reservations will be released ten minutes before curtain. (Reservations are recommended, but not required.)

In order to ensure the safety of our community, we respectfully require all patrons to wear masks while in the theater.

Winding Road would like to thank our sponsor, Arizona Theater Company, for providing the theater space for the Tucson community to join and remember this pivotal moment in American history.

While the reading is free, donations are encouraged. Proceeds will be shared with Tunnel to Towers, a non-profit organization that supports Military and First Responders and their families in need of housing and other assistance.

Reserve your FREE seats here.
