Tucson Improv Movement Upcoming Shows and Classes

You may have seen that the Rialto Theatre, Fox Tucson Theatre, Club Congress and 191 Toole are going to require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to enter events this fall. I am really excited that these downtown venues are taking this step to make sure that live events can return to Tucson in a safe way. I don't believe that we can go backwards and close down venues again, and think that we need live and local arts in our community. I have reached out to the leadership over at the Rialto to figure out the logistics of how we could implement this at our theater and join the alliance. I will be reporting back soon, but just wanted to continue to share how we are working to deal with the ongoing pandemic. As a reminder, get your vaccine baby, as we want to keep making comedy on our stage!

This week at the theater we have the return of Carcajadas our all Spanish show Saturday at 7:30pm. Czarina Nafarrate has done a great job planning this event and working to bring the community together. We are going to have several local Hispanic owned vendors in our lobby before the show so come out and support them and this awesome show! The vendors for Saturday are la Bolita Bakery, Leylas's Crafts, West Boutique, and Chingona Arizona.

Besides Carcajadas we also have The Battle of the Boasts premiering Thursday night at 8:30pm. On Friday night we have the jam at 6 followed by the Soapbox and Stand Up. Then the Dating Scene sharing the stage with a Stand Up 201 Showcase Saturday night at 9pm. So grab your tickets online, and your masks, and get out to a show this weekend!
