The Deer and the Antelope Play by Mark Dunn
BlackBox Productions, LLC will be holding open auditions for their upcoming stage performance : "The Deer and the Antelope Play" November 28th at 6pm and November 30th at 6pm.
Casting needs:
4 women
Grandmother- 55 to 65 years of age
Mother- 35 to 45 years of age
Daughter- 15 to 20 years of age
Female Roommate- 25 to 45 years of age
Prepare a 1 minute monolog (can be read by prefer memorized)
Cold reading
The Deer and the Antelope play is a serious comedy about the value of family and friendship, the importance of self-forgiveness, and the special healing joy that comes to those who know how to "drink life by the dregs".
This play tells the story of a grandmother, mother, and daughter who face tragedy and assorted misfortunes head-on with the help of a strange woman who comes to live with them.
