Animal Farm

Concert length: approximately 1 hour with no intermission
New choreography by Artistic Director Ashley Bowman portrays the vivid personalities of the animals in author George Orwell's controversial short novel, Animal Farm. The production takes place inside a set piece filled with dirt installed within the unique downtown space of MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). Artifact collaborates with The Tucson Girls Chorus, directed by Marcela Molina, and soprano Korby Myrick. The live music will consist of selections from classical composers and early Renaissance sacred choral music.
Tesoro + Artifact

Concert length: approximately 1 hour with no intermission
Tesoro, a five-piece band from Tucson, AZ mixes the styles of flamenco, rumba, cumbia, Latin pop and rock, funk and blues. Collaborating with choreographers Ashley Bowman and Claire Hancock, the musicians come together with the Artifact company to create an evening of brand new works.

Artifact Dance Project takes on Tucson's most talked about criminal in social history, John Herbert Dillinger, collaborating with award-winning Tucson-based band Ryanhood. Musician and founding band member Cameron Hood works with choreographer Ashley Bowman to create a unique production inspired by Dillinger's life story. Surrounding Dillinger goes beyond gangsters and robberies by discovering much of the surrounding events and history behind Dillinger's life.
Katterwaul + Artifact

Katterwaul, a four-piece band from Tucson, AZ fuses the grit of garage revival and psychedelic glitz of glam rock to create an emotional and melodic sound. Artistic Directors Ashley Bowman and Claire Hancock choreograph the company in this exciting, energetic collaboration.
