ZUZI! Dance, is proud to announce our 20th Annual Solstice Celebration, "Woven."

We are bound to our bodies with the fragile threads

of earth. Our skeleton is a loom on which our

entire self is strung and woven.

This season we are honoring the "interconnectedness" of our humanity as we move forward with the return of the sun. The art of weaving is a profound metaphor

for understanding the workings of the universe and our place in it. Through

the physical process of weaving, we gain a better understanding of this

world and how we as human beings are woven into it.

"Woven" is directed/choreographed by Nanette Robinson, with special guest artist

and choreographer, Mirela Roza; mask maker, Lauren Raine; Navajo weaver,

Marlowe Katoney; musician, Glenn Weyant, and singer, Sally Withers;

Dancesequence; and the Handweavers & Spinners Guild.

ZUZI! Theater Renovation

We're really excited about the amazing things happening at ZUZI! Theater!

The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre, in partnership with ZUZI! Dance and the Historic Y, is investing over half a million dollars to renovate The ZUZI! Theater space, a performance venue that has served the community as a home for movement, dance and theatre for nearly two decades. Renovations are nearly complete! When finished, ZUZI! and S&S Theater will have

a beautiful, modernized home in which artist and student alike can build,

explore and thrive. Come in and see what all the fuss is about!
