Keep Tucson Sketchy 3 highlights TIM's Amandas Tennyson and Rochelle
TIM's Amanda Tennyson hosts the third edition of Tucson comedy's runaway hit, Keep Tucson Sketchy (KTS) at the Screening Room, Saturday Sept. 28. The Saturday-Night-Live-inspired show debuted last spring to a standing-room-only crowd. Its follow-up strained the fire code and turned people away. KTS 3 has taken the cues, offering two shows: 7 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 via ticketleap.com; $15 at the door.
TIM fans most recently have seen Tennyson in Pilot Season. She's also a member of TIM's own sketch team, Baby Fish Mouth (BFM), to which she regularly contributes audience-pleasing scripts. Another former BFM member, Rich Gary, co-founded KTS with colleagues he met as a volunteer for Creative Tucson. The team come together over a dream of creating a variety sketch show with top production values. The high-energy Gary also co-produces Tucson's popular stand-up face-off, Battle at the Roast Room, also at Screening Room.
With a cast and crew numbering over 40, KTS makes maximum use of the Screening Room's theatrical potential. The sketch-based show includes comic videos and projected backdrops as well as musical entertainment. TIM member and singer-songwriter Amanda Rochelle performs a set and DJ Sonario provides sonic interludes.
