very very very very
long time to say this!
Come see us at a
LIVE IMPROV SHOW!
After over a year of bringing the funny to Tucson (and the world!) exclusively online via Zoom, Unscrewed Theater is opening its doors for LIVE & IN PERSON improv comedy next month!!
We'll start our month of special guests, special shows, and good ol' fashioned fun at 7:30 pm on Friday, August 6th, and Saturday, August 7th with two super-sized shows. You can expect a cast of very excited improvisers, happy to be on their feet, wearing pants, and performing again on their own stage - with you in the audience.
With our own special brand of family-friendly, all ages Improv Comedy back on the stage again, Speedway & Swan will once again be awash with the roaring laughter Tucson has come to know and love since 2002 - when "Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed" became Tucson's premiere Improv Troupe.
Tickets are on sale now online – a mere $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children for 90 minutes of fun and merriment for the whole family.
But wait. There's more.
Laughter lovers can expect the entire month of August to be jam-packed with special Guest Stars, surprises, and enough laughter to make up for any you may have been missed over the last year. We'll showcase all our house teams. All. Month. Long. We'll post regular updates on our website and social media - and keep an eye on your inbox, too.
But wait. There's even more.
We are starting LIVE & IN-PERSON CLASSES, too! Both Improv Basics AND our advanced ImprovBlox Crafting the Craft start in August! So it doesn't matter if you're new to improv (and we all were at one time!) or just want to hone your craft - we're ready to welcome you with open arms back into our Training Center.

As always, Unscrewed Theater is interested in your safety, as well as your laughter. Everyone involved with the theater is fully vaccinated, and hand sanitizer will be readily available. If you aren't vaccinated, the theater asks that you protect yourself by wearing a mask. If you don't have one, a mask will be provided.
One more thing. I have a favor to ask. Today is the FINAL day to make your nominations for Best of Tucson. If you've already nominated us, well. . . . thanks! If not, it's not too late to do your part to get us in the running for the finals. Cast your votes here -> BEST OF TUCSON.
For the next four weeks, we've got our entire crew of volunteers working day and night to get ready for our re-opening. We are SO excited! If you'd like to be one of the gang, just get in touch! Unscrewed is Tucson's ONLY 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit community theater dedicated to the fun and healing laughter found in improv comedy.
The last 15 months have been hard on all of us. In so many different ways. Emotionally. Financially. And in ways we probably don't even realize yet.
But now it's here.
Finally.
We can safely open our doors and welcome you back with open arms. To say hello in person. To shake hands. Hug. And finally finally finally laugh together again.
Do you think we'll ever take those things for granted again? Not likely any time soon.
By scraping, scrimping, and the generosity of your donations, we've been able to keep our lease and keep the lights on. Another thing we won't likely take for granted any time soon.
