ANIMA/ANIMUS 2.0 is an exploration of archetypes and masculine/feminine energies hidden
deep in the psyche—producing either happiness or havoc! How do we balance these
energies, on an individual basis and as a culture? If we access the full blossoming of both the
inner feminine and the inner masculine, we can claim our wholeness.

This will be the 10th annual community performance for the Carport Theater, and its first
venture from mid-town to downtown for a one-night only show at the Sea of Glass Center for
the Arts. The Carport Theater received a grant from the Arts Foundation for Tucson and
Southern Arizona for this project.

The show’s participants include: Antonio Alvarez, Scott Bird, Tracy Brown, Melinda Dorling,
Frankie Gelb, Heide Foley, Carl Freeman, Brandon Leatherland, Nanette Robinson and Cassi
Smothers.

Says Kathy Keler, facilitator of the Carport Theater:”My goal for the last few years has been to
bring together painting, performance and video into a new art form that can communicate to
viewers on many levels. In these performance events (described as “metaphysical vaudeville”)
I hope to create an imaginative space where the audience can experience thoughts and
feelings not usually accessible in ordinary life; with beauty, a poetic/magical atmosphere, and
humor helping to open to a larger reality, perhaps a transcendent reality.”
