Subject: Film Tucson Update - Brand New Updates on SB1708 and SB1710
SB1708 and SB1710 are safe for now but still face major opposition.
The Senate Appropriations committee heard you loud and clear and has passed SB1708 and SB1710 onto the next round.
However, there are obstacles which could kill these bills before they become law. Here is how you can help:
Task #1
E-mail the members of Senate Appropriations and thank them for the "Yes" votes. Tell them how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication to Arizona. You can copy/paste their e-mails from here. You can read their full names here.
Task #2:
E-mail all 30 Senators and ask them to support SB1708 and SB1710. Both bills will soon be heard on the Senate floor so make sure to write all the Senators immediately. You can copy/paste their e-mail addresses from here. You can read their full names here.
Task #3:
Sign up for a "Request to Speak" account to register your support of these bills. Because accounts must be set up at the State Capitol, we can create an account for you. E-mail us your:
- Name
- E-mail address
- Home address
- Name of your organization (if applicable)
We will create an account for you with a generic password. (You'll be able to change the password once the account is activated.)
Task 4:
Share your Arizona film jobs story on social media. Tell your followers why filming in AZ provided you with a job, give details on why working on film projects puts money in your pocket, explain how film incentives create a positive economic impact and could help your small business thrive. Use the hashtag #AZFilmJobs.
