SB1708 Receives Final Vote on Senate Floor Tomorrow (Thursday).
 

 

 

 

The Senate will give final votes tomorrow (Thursday, Feb.24th) for SB1708 before it moves to the House. While we don't know the exact hour the vote for SB1708 will take place, the entire procedure for all bills begins at 9AM (AZ time).

We urgently need this bill to pass the Senate. Here is how you can help:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Task #1:
Once again, e-mail all 30 Senators between now and 9AM (AZ time) tomorrow and ask them to support SB1708. Keep the message positive and supportive--for example:

• "Thank you for supporting SB1708 which will bring thousands of jobs to Arizona."
• "Thank you for supporting SB1708 which will bring economic relief to small businesses throughout the state."

Task #2:
Drive to the AZ State Capitol on Thursday morning to show your support in person. Our entire group will be meeting at 8:45am at the Liberty Bell located between the House and the Senate at 1700 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Call or send a text to 520.349.4729 if you're unable to find the above meeting spot. We don't know how long this procedure will take so prepare to be at the AZ Capitol for at least 4 hours.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Task 3:
Post the following messages (complete with hashtags) on all your social media:

• #SB1708 is an infrastructure, workforce development bill that REQUIRES the film industry to COMMIT billions of dollars and thousands of jobs and activity to Arizona!  #GoFilmAZ
• #SB1708 is specifically designed to benefit Arizona and its taxpayers and businesses. #GoFilmAZ
• #SB1708 will allow thousands of AZ students in film production programs to stay home and work in the film industry in AZ. #GoFilmAZ
• #SB1708 will bring billions of film industry dollars to Arizona on our terms to benefit our state! #GoFilmAZ
