YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS OF TUCSON COMPETITION

Live Theatre Workshop is happy to announce our 4th annual playwriting contest for all local students between the grades 6th - 12th. We are looking for original short plays of any genre no more than 7 pages in length. Submissions are due Friday, February 3, 2023.

On March 3, 2023 we will announce the top plays to be workshopped. These shows will be paired up with some of our very own local seasoned playwrights who will help our young playwrights workshop their scripts.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023 we will have open auditions for students in 6th - 12th grade to perform or be a technician for one of our top shows which will be showcased at the beginning of summer. We will host a one week intensive workshop camp for all writers, actors, and technicians to put these showcases together. This will happen Tues, May 30 - Sun, June 3 8:00am - 4:00pm and shows are Saturday, June 3 at 2:00pm and Sunday, June 4 at 11:00am.

ROCKIN' AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE: A CHRISTMAS SING-A-LONG

by Richard Gremel

Through December 18th, 2022

Write Santa letters and take your picture with Santa!

The Cheer Squad is preparing for the Christmas Extravaganza to raise Christmas Cheer, but after most of them get sick from drinking bad eggnog, it's up to a band of misfit reindeer and elves to save the day. But the Broadway producer reviewing the Christmas Extravaganza is secretly the head of the coal industry, and would like nothing more than to have every child get coal in their stockings. Come join in the fun, sing along to your favorite Christmas tunes, and enjoy a visit from the big guy himself.
