Pima Theatre's annual Spring musical is Sunday in the Park with George, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Directed by Chris Will. The story follows the struggling painter, Georges Seurat in the time leading up to the making of his famous painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."
This show is in conjunction with Louis Carlos Bernal Gallery, "The American Landscape: An Endangered Species - Joseph DiGiorgio's The Grand Canyon". Each panel is 5' x 7' and represents one hour in the day at the Grand Canyon, created in pointillism style

Pima Theatre presents the drama Proof, written by David Auburn. Directed by Pima Theatre alumni Gianbari Deebom, with assistant director PJ Peavy. This story follows Catherine, whose celebrated mathematician father Robert, has recently died after battling mental illness. When a former student discovers an original proof in Robert's office, Catherine must prove it is her work even when no one believes her.

In honor of Shakespeare's birthday, Pima Theatre's Shakespeare class performs Romeo and Juliet in Less than 30 Minutes. Written by William Shakespeare and directed by Chris Will. This exciting live performance will give viewers the option to see a few different versions of scenes from "Romeo and Juliet" by different casts.
Free Tickets for Pima Community College students - Pima Community College students get one free ticket to each Theatre, Music, and Dance event. First come, first serve, reservations should be made ahead of time through the Center for the Arts box office, 520-206-6986, centerforthearts@pima.edu.
