10th Annual International Wild Bunch Film Festival Returns to Tucson Oct. 22–26 with Biggest Lineup Yet

Tucson, AZ — Sept 30, 2025 — The Wild Bunch Film Festival is the nation's largest festival celebrating the western genre and western lifestyle. Founded to honor the legacy of western storytelling while championing new filmmakers and writers, the festival is back for it's 10th anniversary celebration, bringing filmmakers, writers and on-screen stars for the largest gathering of western film and lifestyle fans in the country. It's the nation's largest festival celebrating the western genre and western lifestyle. Sponsored by INSP, the festival is held primarily at Galaxy Theatres (100 S. Houghton Rd.) for five days of screenings, several world premiere films, celebrity appearances, meet and greets, autograph sessions, big awards show and more.

Highlights for attendees include a once-in-a-lifetime 50th anniversary screening of Winterhawk starring Michael Dante on Saturday, Oct. 25 (1:50–3:28 p.m.), followed by a live Q&A with Dante. He'll be signing autographs, books, etc., from Oct 23 through Oct 26th! Later that day (4:20–5:43 p.m.), festivalgoers can watch select episodes from season one of Blue Ridge the Series with TV star Johnathon Schaech followed by a Q&A and meet-and-greet with him — just ahead of season two launch. Other notables appearing and signing autographs throughout the weekend include Rudy Ramos (The High Chaparral; Yellowstone), and actor-director Moe Headrick (Killers of the Flower Moon) signing for fans.

"Our festivals tenth anniversary is a celebration of stories that help shape the West on screen and the people who keep that spirit alive today. And this year we have two western movie set tours. One is Friday morning Oct 24th at Rick Harker's Movie Set Museum, and the other one is Monday morning Oct 27th at Old Tucson" said festival director Rock Whitehead. "We've really pulled together some great films, tv series, independent westerns, documentaries and more to give fans unforgettable moments — from the milestone 'Winterhawk' screening to intimate conversations with some really great actors."

In a new collaboration, Beautiful Bandit Boutique LLC will present a Runway Western Fashion Show with a ticketed brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas on Sunday, October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Trail Dust Town (6541 E. Tanque Verde Rd.), just seven miles from Galaxy Theatres. Vendors will be on site selling handmade western goods and fashion finds and so much more; tickets for this event are sold separately through Beautiful Bandit Boutique website.

The festival culminates with the BIG Wild Bunch Awards Show in the DFX Theatre Sunday, Oct. 26 from 5:30–7:00 p.m., hosted by Jim Olson, Bobbi Jeen Olson, Rowdy J. Olson & Mayra Gonzalez Chavez, and featuring surprise guest presenters. Attendees can expect numerous opportunities for fans to meet industry talent up close. This is one not to be missed!

Parties and networking opportunities include - Thursday, Oct. 23rd the official Kick-Off Party at the Frozen Cactus. Attendees can enjoy food & drinks for purchase, and karaoke fun with DJ Chuck beginning at 10:00 p.m. And Saturday Oct 25th a filmmakers & screenwriters Breakfast at Millie's Haus from 7am-9am. Located in 'Trail Dust Town' at 6541 E Tanque Verde Rd. Prices are very reasonable and best breakfast in Tucson!

The festival concludes with the big After-Party on Sunday evening hosted by Saguaro Corners (3750 S. Old Spanish Trail) from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., featuring live patio entertainment by Tucson favorites 'Midnight Ryders'! You'll be able to enjoy a curated menu of great food & drinks for purchase. Don't forget the venue's world famous prickly pear margaritas!

Tickets for the film festival are located at https://filmfreeway.com/TheWildBunchFilmFestival/tickets for a limited time and also sold at the festival registration table during the festival run (with a minimal price increase) at the Galaxy Theatres. All credit cards and cash accepted. All event details, times, etc., are on the official website at https://www.thewildbunchfilmfestival.com

Triva: Festival founders Rock & Brenda Whitehead officially named the festival after their late friend, Bo Hopkins's memorable role of Clarence "Crazy" Lee in the 1969 classic film, 'The Wild Bunch'.

🛎️Yes and News - 9/25/25

We're coming down to the wire in one of my favorite traditions here at the theater—the 3V3 Improv Tournament! Over the past few weeks, we've seen some incredible sets, tons of Adam, and a lot of laughter. Now, we're down to our Final Four teams: One Spicy Meatball, The Slaxatives, Amanda Inc., and Rough Cut our Wild Card team. Each of these groups have battled their way to the top, and this Saturday you will crown the 9th champion of the 3V3 Tournament. It's going to be an electric night—you don't want to miss it!

And as we look ahead, I'm excited to say that the spooky season is creeping into TIM next week. That's right—the SpOoOoOky Girls, our live and improvised true crime podcast, are back with another season of their hilarious and haunting show. Use the code manslaughter at checkout for 0% off your online ticket purchases. October is always one of my favorite months here, and I can't wait for you to experience all the treats (and tricks) we have planned.
