RE: Pay-what-you-can performance of It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
Waypoint Theatre Company continues the stage adaptation of Frank Capra’s Christmas classic with It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Show this week with an added pay-what-you-can performance Tuesday, December 9 at 7:30pm (musical pre-show beginning at 7pm) at the company’s performing venue Atria Bell Court Garden’s Academy Hall Theatre, 6653 E. Carondelet Drive.
Turn back the clock and set the dial for a dose of Christmas nostalgia as this beloved Capra Christmas classic comes to captivating life as a fully costumed, staged radio show. Seven, savvy studio actors employ their vocal talents portraying over 50 characters in a Manhattan studio with on-stage Foley sound effects before a live audience to re-imagine the much-loved tale of George Bailey’s journey of self-worth—including period commercials and a live, musical pre-show featuring Waypoint regulars singing 1940s Christmas favorites.
Waypoint will also be holding a Silent Auction fund raiser in support of their capital campaign on site at Atria through December 14 at 2pm. Check out all 41 items and services for sale on line at www.waypoint-theatre.org .
