Subject: Press Release: Let's Talk About Sex and The Second City
Arizona Theatre Company
THEY'RE BACK!! THE SECOND CITY RETURNS TO ARIZONA WITH A BRAND-NEW COMEDY, SEX AND THE SECOND CITY: VERSION 2.0
Warning: May make you tweet, poke or LOL about romance in the digital age!
Let's talk about sex...SEX AND THE SECOND CITY, that is! Arizona Theatre Company's special presentation of SEX AND THE SECOND CITY: VERSION 2.0, a world premiere comedy by The Second City, makes its debut at ATC before a national tour. For a limited time only you can tweet, poke or LOL at all the quirks of dating in the digital age. This romp runs for 10 performances only in Phoenix, March 10-20, 2011 at the Herberger Theater Center, and the laughter continues for 6 performances only in Tucson, March 23-27, 2011 at the Temple of Music and Art. The Phoenix media sponsors for the 2010-2011 Season are 99.9 KEZ and Phoenix Magazine. The Tucson media sponsors for the 2010-2011 Season are Tucson Lifestyle, MIX-FM, and KGUN. Arizona Theatre Company's season sponsors are I. Michael and Beth Kasser.
Hide the kiddies, cage the pets and stock up on the laughing gas ... they're back!! Last season's sold-out hit at ATC, THE SECOND CITY DOES ARIZONA, OR CLOSE BUT NO SAGUARO had Arizonans laughing so hard at ourselves we were gasping for breath (...or was that an ozone alert?), falling out of our chairs (...or were those the monsoon winds?) and splitting our sides (...or were we just left out in the sun too long?). From the comedy empire that gave us such comedy giants as Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Gilda Radner and a whole slew of others, comes a new romp about the search for love in the digital age. Even if you found love the (gasp) old-fashioned way - you'll LOL at this hilarious look at the technology that was suppose to make our love lives so much easier, but only made it that much more complicated. This new comedy also includes some of The Second City trademark improvisation and audience interaction that is guaranteed to make you J. Featuring The Second City's Fred Willard as a special guest via satellite. (Contains mature themes and content).
