SYNOPSIS
Marty just can’t seem to catch a break. Stuck working as a children’s mascot, Marty finds that entertaining kids is way more than he bargained for. But when Marty turns to booze to help get him through work, he finds that mommy’s little angels are hardly what they seem. Can Marty finish the job and still score a paycheck? Or will he leave every shred of dignity back with those snot-nosed brats?
CHARACTER BIOS
Marty - Gender: Male, Age: mid-20s
Marty is known for being a professional slacker. Having barely made it through high school, he spends most of his time working for his father. He hates his job but is too unmotivated to strive for anything better. Marty is scruffy and messy in appearance. Drugs and alcohol are some of his vices.
Mom – Gender: Female, Age: late 20s, early 30s
She looks as good as she can for becoming a mom at an early age. Relatively attractive, though slightly trashy, she still tries to be a decent mother of three. This mom is down on her luck, and sometimes turns to cocaine as an escape. She is going through a divorce from an abusive husband.
Squirrel Girl - Gender: Female, Age: early 20s
An attractive redhead, Squirrel Girl encounters Marty when he stumbles into her house, mistaking it for his next job. She wears a squirrel costume and seems to be the only good person Marty has met in a while.
*The Mascot Agent– Gender: Male, Age: 40+
Marty’s father. He is a jerk in his own right, and sees his son as a failure. His relationship with Marty is strained, because he never encouraged Marty as a kid.
* Appears in a voiceover. If interested in this role, please send a link of any and all voiceover work to one17productions@gmail.com.
