What will we do?
-TRAINING
-REHEARSING
-SHOOTING
This camp will focus on actor training that allows the actor to find a relaxed, impulsive, focused, and intention-driven state of being...just what the camera loves, and just what will often get you that call-back! We will also explore techniques for building a textured, layered, and authentic performance with particular attention paid to elements of acting such as 'relationship,' 'sense of place,' 'outwardly-directed focus,' 'impulsiveness,' 'listening,' 'connection,' and 'relaxation.'
In the mornings, we'll do a stretch/warm-up & relaxation session, followed by acting exercises and improvisations designed to work on the acting elements mentioned above (and to cut loose a bit). In the afternoons, we will rehearse short written scenes, which will be assigned on day one. We will then shoot the scenes on Friday.
Participants will receive a DVD with footage from the camp.
If you have any questions, please feel free to write or call. I look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Steve Anderson
